This evening I rode with the group that meets at Dons at 5:30, what an excellent idea that was. It was a lot of fun, the group split in two pretty early in the ride, I went with my gut and tried to keep up with the fast group. Was it a mistake, I wouldn't say so, but I definitely couldn't keep up with them the whole time. I was able to stay with them for almost the whole first lap of the river roads, but they definitely pulled pretty far ahead on the second one, farther than my eye could see. I don't regret not riding with the slower group, but I do regret not riding with a group, I was looking forward to it and ended up riding the entire second lap on my own. But hey, at least I did two laps. I look forward to riding with this group more often, it was such a blast, much thanks to everyone who supports me in my riding, I keep getting stronger and I can tell. I'm thinking about attempting to do the Piece Of Cake race coming up soon, I think the only thing that's holding me back is not having an actual road bike, I've really gotta start saving and get on that, that should help improve my times quite a bit.
