Yeah, you read it right, Wal-Mart "fixed speed" bike. I wasn't too sure what I thought about it at first, my initial reaction was that of anger, but after putting a little more thought into it, I'm just glad to see that a this style of bike is easier accessible to kids. Though I'm sure that its not going to be a very good bike by any means, it's a Mongoose aluminum frame with a "rigid" fork. I hope that this means more kids will want to start riding more and driving less. I'm sure lots of kids are going to take the brakes right off and go balls to the wall, thus leading to lots of injuries that I'm sure are going to come with this bike, which makes me want to see wally world give out a free helmet with the bike purchase. Well I can't wait to actually see one in person and give it a whirl!
